Jeff Barcy is a graduate of Harvard Business School and he achieved his MBA at the school from 1994 to 1996. At Harvard University, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with High Honors, in English and American Literature.

He attended Harvard University from 1987 to 1991. After graduating from Harvard in 1991, he spent three years working on Wall Street as well as in Los Angeles, California as an investment banker.

From August 1996 to October 2005 (amounting to 9 years and 3 months), Jeff Barcy was a Director at Credit Suisse. He commenced his banking career as a financial analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston. He also worked in the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette (DLJ). DLJ was later acquired by Credit Suisse.

While at Credit Suisse, Mr. Barcy executed over $20B of transactions for real estate companies. This included $5 billion of mergers and acquisitions and $15 billion of capital raises.

From October 2005 to October 2007 (equating to 2 years and 1 month), Jeff Barcy was Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Hearthstone. He created the Landstone division and assisted in managing an institution of 75 people and 125 active real estate projects from coast to coast.

He was a Senior Officer at Hearthstone – a large institutional investor in real estate. Hearthstone has $2B of assets under management. At the firm, Mr. Barcy developed a new business from a $150M start-up to a $1B fund. In addition, he completed $500M of investments.

Jeff Barcy’s experience includes 3 years at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., where he was a Managing Director. His experience includes in excess of 2 decades on Wall Street and in real estate private equity.

He raised greater than $20 billion in capital for homebuilders and developers, REIT’s, private real estate companies via a combination of private placements, Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings, loans, senior and subordinated notes, as well as CMBS deals.

Jeff Barcy started his banking career with the office of Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette in 1996. He started as an Associate. He subsequently worked his way up throughout the course of 9 years to become a Director in the firm’s investment banking office.
